We are all registered osteopaths with our professional body, the General Osteopathic Council (GOsC) and undertake regular CPD courses to meet our registering requirements. We have all undergone a full time 4 year course in osteopathy.
Sarah qualified from the British School of Osteopathy (BSO) in 1988, and has worked in Kent and Warrington, before setting up her own practice in Thornton in 1990. She is a member of the GOsC and the Institute of Osteopathy (iO) and the Northern Counties Society of Osteopaths. Sarah uses structural techniques to treat her patients and treats a wide variety of people from children to the elderly.
John studied Osteopathy at Oxford Brookes School of Osteopathy in Oxford. He qualified in 2005 with a BSc (Hons) degree in Osteopathy. Since then he has worked at the clinic as an associate 2 days a week. he treats children as well as adults, with his main emphasis on a structural approach to Osteopathy.
He has a particular interest in sports injuries and exercise and rehabilitation and also in nutrition and health.
He undertook a year’s training in Applied Kinesiology in Sussex, which covered various ways of assessing and treating the body.
He is currently undertaking a 3 year degree in Acupuncture at the Northern College of Acupuncture in York, as he is looking to expand his treatment modalities.
He is a fully registered Osteopath with the General Osteopathic Council, and also a member of the Institute of Osteopathy and the Northern Counties Society of Osteopaths.
